Joe Pasquale - the hero of last year's sensational Jack and the Beanstalk - returns for another year of

Playing the hilarious role of the pirate SMEE in what will once again be the UK’s biggest and best family
pantomime, Joe commented: “I had a fantastic season in Birmingham last year and made lots of new
friends. This is a great venue with a great audience. I looked at offers coming up for this Christmas and
decided I was definitely ‘Hooked’ on Birmingham”.
Joe’s starring role in pantomime last year helped to make Jack and the Beanstalk the most successful
Christmas show since Birmingham Hippodrome re-opened in 2001.
Joe is joined by some of the funniest family entertainers including Toby Hull with Emu, the fantastic Charlie
Cairoli (who played King Crumble in Jack & the Beanstalk), and TV star Mina Anwar as the Magical Mermaid.
Playing Peter Pan will be Kerris Peeling.
Birmingham Hippodrome’s Director of Marketing and Development, Rob Macpherson said: “We are
delighted that Joe has decided to return to Birmingham again this year. Peter Pan is one of the most popular
panto titles and Joe is a real family favourite. We‘re well on our way to beating last year’s record sales with
